Statement of Purpose

I want to help you tell your story. 

With experience in education, science, publication design, and illustration, I can help you effectively communicate your message and creative vision.

My unique and diverse professional background enables me to identify needs, generate ideas, and create and refine educational and instructional materials. I possess technical expertise and analytical skills which help me understand specific content. I utilize design thinking on top of creative skills such as art direction, graphic design, typography, and illustration which allow me to produce creative artifacts and work with a team to effectively communicate stories and ideas. With my teaching background, I can deliver educational or instructional content to diverse audiences and learners. I can also collaborate with an instructional team to develop curricular assets. Above all, I have a growth mindset and the design thinking necessary to solve problems through empathy, creativity, and an iterative process.

I do this all through a remote workflow to work flexibly from home to allow myself to be present with my family and pursue a positive work-life balance while using my skills to produce content that has impact and social benefit.
